Do you fancy breakfast in France, lunch in Luxemburg and dinner in Germany, all in one day? You want to go on daytrip to Paris? It can be a dream come true, if you decide to join the EPS at htw saar in Saarbrücken! htw saar is located right in the heart of Europe in the so-called „SaarLorLux-Triangle“in Southwest Germany. It’s right on the border of France and Luxemburg making it possible to fetch French croissants for breakfast! Every day!
htw saar is the largest University of Applied Sciences in Saarland, with 6000 students and a staff of almost 600. More than 1.100 international students from over 80 countries are learning together.
htw saar offers more than 60 Bachelor and Master programs, either taught in German or some in English or French, in the four schools: Business, Architecture & Civil Engineering, Engineering, and Social Sciences.
Studies at the htw saar are practical-oriented and have an excellent combination of hands-on skills and a strong theoretical knowledge base. Research is fundamental and we attach great importance to applied research and development. We conduct research with industry partners in Germany and abroad and belong to the top-ranked Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany for R&D.
The European Project Semester at htw saar is offered at the School of Engineering, which provides all the EPS courses. The EPS runs in both semesters and consists of:
- Project work at one company from the Saar region (20 ECTS)
- Special designed TEC modules (each 2,5 ECTS):
- Introduction to Arduino
- electives: Embedded Systems and Simulink OR Sensor Systems
- Project Management (2 ECTS)
- Intercultural Communication & Team Building (0,5 ECTS)
- German Course (2,5 ECTS)
